Arsenicals is a feed additive. Beginning in the 1950s, the commonly used arsenic preparations include p-aminophenylarsinic acid and its sodium salt and 3-nitro-4-hydroxyphenylarsinic acid, among which p-aminophenylarsinic acid is widely used in China. Organic arsenic preparations not only play a nutritional role in supplementing the necessary trace element arsenic, but also have important antibacterial effects, such as inhibiting the growth and reproduction of harmful bacteria in the intestinal tract and preventing dysentery.
