Lipstatin

(96829-59-3)
Lipstatin, a potent inhibitor of the pancreas lipase, is reported to be useful in the treatment and/or prevention of obesity and related diseases. Lipstatin is a potent irreversible inhibitor of pancreatic lipase, produced by Streptomyces toxytricini and first reported in 1987. In vivo, lipstatin acts to block the absorption of triglycerides while allowing fatty acid absorption. The tetrahydro analogue of lipstatin, orlistat, although less potent, was developed for the treatment of obesity.

Maytansinoid DM 1

(139504-50-0)
Mertansine (DM1) is a microtubulin inhibitor which binds at the tips of microtubules and suppresses the dynamicity of microtubules.. Mertansine is an antibody-conjugatable maytansinoid that was developed to overcome systemic toxicity associated with maytansine and to enhance tumor-specific delivery.

Maytansinol (7)

(57103-68-1)
Maytansinol inhibits microtubule assembly and induces microtubule disassembly in vitro.Target: Microtubule/Tubulinin vitro: Maytansinol disrupts the mitotic spindle and prevents mitotic exit in Drosophila. Maytansinol reduces the growth and/or survival of HCT116 cells in a dose-dependent manner and that the effect was more severe for p53+/+ than for p53-/- cells at both low and high doses. Maytansinol inhibits the growth of HCT116 human colon cancer cells. Maytansinol induces apoptosis i

Lactone refers to an organic substance that contains both a carboxyl group and a hydroxyl group in the same molecule, and the two are dehydrated. Organic compounds with one and only one ester group in the ring. Common ones are x=2, 3 or 4, which are called β-, γ- or δ-lactones, respectively. They are generally insoluble in water, easily soluble in organic solvents such as ethanol and ether, and their density is generally lower than that of water.
